In an interview on Fox News, Ron Paul gives a true assessment concerning Iran, and the propaganda being shoveled out by the major mainstream news sources. He explains that the CIA has already admitted there is no real evidence that Iran is anywhere near to obtaining a nuclear weapon, and that the country is a third world nation with many bigger countries surrounding it, and that its surrounding countries do have nuclear weapons.

In the interview he also explains that Iran would probably not want to go up against Israel, which has approximately 300 nuclear weapons in its stockpile.

When asked about foreign aid to Israel, Ron paul responded, saying,
" I'm against all foreign aid, and if we cut out all the foreign aid, ah.. today, we would cut out seven times more foreign aid to the enemies of Israel, but I wouldn't give foreign aid to Israel. I want Israel to have their own national sovereignty, I don't want them to depend on us either for the money which socializes their economy and they're in financial trouble as well, and I don't want them to depend on us to tell them how to draw up their peace treaties or what to do with their borders. So yes. We should have friendship with them, and we should trade with them, but total dependence on the United States and on our money is a bad risk for them.."

This bill, passed late last night in a 93-7 vote, declares the entire USA to be a "battleground" upon which U.S. military forces can operate with impunity, overriding Posse Comitatus and granting the military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate and even assassinate U.S. citizens with impunity.

Even WIRED magazine was outraged at this bill, reporting:

Senate Wants the Military to Lock You Up Without Trial

...the detention mandate to use indefinite military detention in terrorism cases isn't limited to foreigners. It's confusing, because two different sections of the bill seem to contradict each other, but in the judgment of the University of Texas' Robert Chesney — a nonpartisan authority on military detention — "U.S. citizens are included in the grant of detention authority."

The passage of this law is nothing less than an outright declaration of WAR against the American People by the military-connected power elite. Desperate to derail Ron Paul's momentum in New Hampshire, the key early primary state in which polls show Paul has a very real chance of winning, the establishment has thrown its weight behind Newt Gingrich, the ultimate RINO globalist who in reality is about as conservative as Mao Tse-tung.

With the campaigns of Mitt Romney and Rick Perry collapsing, the editorial board of the New Hampshire Union Leader chose to endorse Gingrich on Sunday, a move that the mainstream press immediately hailed as all-important, attempting to bestow kingmaker status on a relatively irrelevant newspaper in the grand scheme of things.

The anointment of Gingrich as Republican frontrunner is just the latest desperate bid to fool voters into supporting anyone other than Ron Paul. From Perry, to Romney, to Cain -- the establishment has attempted to crown all of them as top dog -- failing every time as each campaign subsequently crashes and burns.

Gingrich will inevitably follow suit because he has more skeletons in the closet than a halloween costume shop. Newt Gingrich is Mr. New World Order -- a committed globalist who has publicly made clear his contempt for American sovereignty and freedom on a plethora of occasions, not least when he joined forces with Nancy Pelosi to push the Obama administration's cap and trade agenda that would have completely bankrupted the country.

"I think if you have mandatory carbon caps combined with a trading system, much like we did with sulfur, and if you have a tax-incentive program for investing in the solutions, that there's a package there that's very, very good," Gingrich told PBS Frontline in February 2007.

And if you think that doesn't sound bad enough, just wait until you read what Gingrich had to say about mandatory health insurance.

"Personal responsibility extends to the purchase of health insurance. Citizens should not be able to cheat their neighbors by not buying insurance, particularly when they can afford it, and expect others to pay for their care when they need it," he wrote in a 2007 OpEd for the Des Moines Register.

That's right -- self-proclaimed "conservative" Gingrich is an aggressive supporter of Obamacare, just like his rival Mitt Romney.

Concern that Americans distrust the government so much that they might might panic in response to the Emergency Alert System test this week prompted officials to shorten the alert to just 30 seconds, illustrating how sensitive citizens are at the moment to the actions of federal authorities.

The original alert message was planned to last up to three and a half minutes, but concerns arising out of the fact that the TV broadcast of the alert may not include the message "this is a test," have led to the interruption to be shortened to just 30 seconds.

The test will take place at 1pm CST on Wednesday, breaking into all conventional television and radio broadcasts, who for the very first time have no control over whether to allow the government to override their broadcasting platforms.

"When it announced the test earlier this year, FEMA originally said it could last as long as three-and-a-half minutes, but the agency acknowledged to news organizations that it had reduced the test's duration, apparently over public concerns," reports Government Security News, citing "public anxiety" over the alert caused by emails and Internet stories being circulated that question, "the government's motives behind the test."

"News reports cited one email distributed in a Washington D.C. school district that said there was "great concern" from local law enforcement and emergency management that the test would spark concern among residents," states the report, blaming the fact that limitations of the EAS system will prevent the video message indicating the alert is only a test from scrolling across television screens in some areas.

Concerns about the EAS alert were encapsulated by radio host Glenn Beck when he questioned why the government had chosen to conduct the test on a Wednesday afternoon in the middle of a work day, "when the whole world is in revolution."

Beck warned that the first of its kind test gave the government the pretext to take over all civilian communication outlets under the guise of a national emergency.

"If the state wants to take control...they can just take it and there is nothing I can do about it," Beck stated, adding that the process "seizes control of the broadcast frequency."

Today in Reuters it is reported that the U.S. Ambassador to Syria has had to make a hasty retreat back to the United States after several articles in the Syrian media have incited hostility to the U.S. Ambassador.

Robert Ford, was assigned as Ambassador to Syria in 2010 by Barack Obama. Recently it is reported that Ford contacted a seven month old grassroots protest movement, and called upon them to end 41 nyears of Assad family Rule.

Ford also served as Ambassador to Algeria from 2006 to 2008 under the Bush administration, and during that time Ford was accused of being a CIA agent by Mohamed Tamalt, an Algerian author and journalist who knew Ford when he served in Algeria.

The U.S. has been trying to convince Bashar Al- Assad to scale down friendly ties to Iran and militant groups, and had made some moves to improve relations with Damascus when Obama took office in the beginning of his term.

When protesting broke out in Syria, Assad ignored the demands of the protesters. International calls for Assad to respond to the demands of the protesters went unheeded by Assad as well, and relations between Syria and the U.S. began then to deteriorate.

There has been in the past, instances of U.S. attacks inside of Syrian territory by Special Forces against fighters staging attacks in Iraq.

Now it looks as though Ford, a possible CIA agent, is further instigating calls for the end of Assad's rule.
The question is whether this is being done at the behest of higher ups in the Agency itself, and will this lead to the next 'kinetic action' by the U.S. and NATO to spread 'democracy' along with regime change in the region as well.

Businessman Herman Cain has made remarks somewhat unbecoming of a presidential candidate, declaring his annoyance at "stupid" questions continually put to him by Ron Paul supporters.

The former Godfather's Pizza CEO, who is running for the GOP nomination on a broadly libertarian platform, seems to have a problem with Paulites' concerns regarding the Federal Reserve.

"I get the same stupid question at almost every one of these events," Cain writes in a forthcoming book "This is Herman Cain," to be released in early October.

According to the Daily Caller, which has obtained an advance copy of the book, Cain claims that Paul's supporters are "threatened by me" and are "trying to destroy me on the fact that I was once affiliated with" the Federal Reserve.

Cain even has his own conspiracy theory that Paul's campaign is deliberately sending people out to Cain events to attempt to discredit him:

"I know it's a deliberate strategy." Cain writes, "How can a person randomly show up at a hundred events and ask the same stupid question to try to nail me on the Federal Reserve?"

Is Cain serious? Clearly he has no concept of the determination and reach of Ron Paul's grassroots support base. Paulites are focused and unwavering, just as their chosen candidate has been for thirty plus years.

Ron Paul has warned his supporters for three decades and more about the dangerous of a fraudulent fractional reserve banking system in the hands of private central bankers, and no one can legitimately argue any longer that those concerns have not been justified. Why is it so hard for Cain to accept that every Ron Paul supporter would share the same concerns?

Paul's supporters have argued that Cain is not serious about reigning in the power of the Federal Reserve over US monetary policy, pointing to the fact that he was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1995 and 1996.

While Ron Paul has continually pushed to audit the Fed, Cain seemingly does not believe an audit is necessary:

"I have said: 'I don't think you're going to find anything to audit on the Federal Reserve.'" Cain writes. "But they (Ron Paul supporters) want you to believe that Herman Cain doesn't want the Federal Reserve to be audited."

"It's really becoming annoying more than anything else." Cain states.

According to the latest data from the US Census Bureau, the number of American citizens living below the poverty line reached 46.2 million last year.

The 2010 poverty rate of 15.1% is the highest since 1993, and is significantly higher than the 2009 figure (14.3%).

The definition of poverty employed by the Census Bureau is an annual income of $22,314 (£14,129) or less for a family of four, or $11,139 for an individual. Worryingly, the number of people below this poverty line in the USA has now risen for four consecutive years.

The figures also tell of large inequalities between different ethnic groups within the United States. Poverty among the black and hispanic populations, for instance, is far greater than the national average – at 27.4% and 26.6% respectively.

Younger Americans were also badly affected – poverty among under 18s rose 1.3% since 2009. [endtext]

Ron Paul emerged the clear winner of last night's FOX News GOP debate according to a poll of Fox viewers and even according to analysis in the Washington Post, as the congressman cemented the fact that he is the only hope America has of ending its involvement in multiple costly and damaging wars across the globe.

Paul was in his element at the Iowa debate and delivered the most comprehensible and impassioned performance seen at any of the debates thus far.

Every other candidate in attendance attempted to scramble over their rivals to lead the charge for the military industrial complex, while Paul stuck firmly to his anti-war principles, demanding that US troops be brought home with immediate effect.

During a heated back and forth with Rick Santorum regarding a potential conflict with Iran, Paul showed true statesman qualities, arguing that merely slapping sanctions on the country and refusing to even entertain the idea of negotiating with the Iranian leadership would lead directly to conflict further down the line.

"They have no evidence that they are working on a weapon," Paul said. "At least our leaders and Reagan talked to the Soviets. What is so terribly bad about this? Countries you put sanctions on, you are more likely to fight them. I say a policy of peace is free trade, stay out of their internal business. Do not get involved in these wars and bring our troops home." The Congressman added.

When Santorum insisted that Iran had "killed more American men and women in uniform in Iraq and Afghanistan than the Iraqis and Afghans have," Paul urged the American people to see through such examples of war propaganda.

When Santorum added that Iran had been "at war with us since 1979″, Paul countered that it was the meddling of the CIA in Iran in the 1950s that had directly caused such "blowback".

"The senator is wrong on his history," Paul urged. "We've been at war in Iran for a lot longer than '79. We started it in 1953 when we sent in a coup, installed the Shah. The reaction, the blow-back came in 1979, it's been going on and on because we just plain don't mind our own business. That's our problem!" The Congressman asserted as the crowd in attendance erupted into riotous applause and cheering.

"Iran is a threat because they have some militants there, but believe me they are all around the world, and they are not a whole lot different than others." The Congressman added. "Iran does not have an air force that can come here, they can't even make enough gasoline for themselves." Paul said as he fended off constant attempts by Santorum to interrupt him with authority.

"They are building up this case just like we did in Iraq, build up the war propaganda. There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq, and 'they had nuclear weapons and we had to go in', I'm sure you supported that war as well," said Paul, directing his words toward the former Senator.

In the stand out moment of the entire evening, a clearly emotional Ron Paul almost burst out of the screen as he boomed into the microphone "It's time we quit this. IT'S TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS WE'RE SPENDING ON THESE WARS!"

Buying chemicals at your local retail store could now make you a possible terror suspect according to the FBI who has now teamed up with the Columbus Ohio Bomb squad.

The agency has created a program called the "Chemical Industry Outreach Program", so that store employees can identify potential threats and notify the proper authorities. This would fall into the "see something - say something" program started by Janet Napolitano of the Department of Homeland Security.

"We have this big thousand piece, ten thousand piece puzzle and we're looking for that one little piece," said Capt. Steven Saltsman of the Columbus Division of Fire.

The real intent behind programs such as this recent one by the FBI, as well as the "see something-say something" program, are not to identify and punish criminals and terrorists so much ( although this is the stated goal presented in the media propaganda), but the real intention is:

(CBS News) A Las Vegas police officer is in hot water after being caught on tape beating a videographer outside of his home in March.

A police department review found that Officer Derek Colling violated police policies when he used "excessive force" on Mitchell Crooks, reports the Las Vegas Review Journal.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred on the night of March 20, when the 36-year-old Crooks was in his driveway videotaping police as they investigated a burglary report across the street. Crooks said that when he refused to stop filming, Colling arrested and beat him, with much of the altercation recorded by the camera.

In the video, Crooks can be heard yelling in pain while Colling can be heard telling him to "shut up" and telling him his decision not to turn off the camera put him in "a world of hurt."

Colling has been on paid suspension since April 1 and could be fired pending the outcome of a review by the officer's supervisors, the newspaper reported.

Earlier this week, the Internal Affairs Bureau notified Crooks that Colling was found to have violated Las Vegas police policy - a development which pleased Crooks.

"It seems like they're saying he was guilty, which is what I've been saying," Crooks told the newspaper. "I really hope he gets fired."

In the meantime, Crooks' lawyer, David Otto, said he intends to sue Colling and the police department, the newspaper reported.

March 22, 2011 - Congressman Ron Paul made a sweep of television appearances yesterday to voice his strong opposition to the attack on Libya, and making it clear that the president is subverting US national sovereignty by bypassing Congress to engage in illegal acts of aggression.

Appearing on Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano, the Congressman pulled no punches when explaining why he believes Obama went to the UN for authority to drop bombs on Libya, rather than congress.

"I think he philosophically believes in one world government," Paul stated.

"He wants to keep nudging us in that direction. I don't believe he has a conviction that national sovereignty has any value. So therefore if they can diminish the Congress." he continued.

"If he diminishes the Congress and he can get his authority from the United Nations then this enhances what he believes in. But he is not alone, the leadership in both parties has been nudging in that direction for a long time." the Congressman added.

"To think of all the effort that the founders went to to make the Congress the most important body, that they are now the most willing to give up their prerogatives and give it to the executive branch and the judicial branch, and onward and onward. Our leaderships in the House as long as I've been there have always deferred to the executive branch." he said.

Paul once again urged the American people to recognize the military incursion into Libya as a war of opportunity.

"It is unnecessary, it is wrong, it has nothing to do with national security, it has nothing to do with the defence of this country." he said.

"I think there is more to do with it than just that. That may be their cover. It may be that oil is an important issue here. We didn't go to Rwanda for humanitarian reasons, so I'm not to sure that oil might not be the real clincher here."

Americans, Everything You Do Is Monitored

When President Obama talked about a transparent administration during the run up to the 2008 election most Americans assumed he was talking about openness in government dealings. Obviously, this is not the case, as evidenced by the administration's handling of the universal health care legislation which was passed without a single American having had a chance to read it for 72 hours before a vote as the President promised would be the case with all legislation, refusal to release photographic evidence of the Osama Bin Laden raid, the President's own birth certificate which has taken two years to be made public, and the many secret meetings held with Congressional members behind closed doors.

It should be clear by now that Big Government's domestic surveillance policies under Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush are being furthered expanded by Mr. Obama. Transparency, it seems, had nothing to do with making government more visible. It did, however, have everything to do with making your like more transparent.

Before we itemize the many ways in which you're being watch, surveyed, monitored and aggregated, this latest report by Alex Thomas of The Intel Hub reiterates, yet again, that digital surveillance capabilities are not just isolated to intelligence agencies:

A lawsuit filed on Tuesday alleges that Aaron’s, a huge furniture rent to buy company, used software and a special device on their computers that enabled them to spy on PC renters.

According to the lawsuit, the company is able to track keystrokes and snap webcam pictures in the home of their customers.

Brian and Crystal Byrd, the couple who filed the lawsuit, claim that they were never told about these intrusive spying measures.

While computer privacy experts agree that Aaron’s has the right to install devices that enable them to shut down the computers remotely, customers must be told that they are being monitored.

The couple only found out about the spying after an Aaron’s employee showed them a picture of Brian Byrd that was taken remotely while the Byrds were in their home.

“After they showed us the picture, I, of course, felt violated,” Crystal Byrd said in an interview Monday. “There are many times I sat in front of that computer with barely nothing on. So I didn’t know if they had taken lots of pictures of us or what,” reported the Wyoming Tribune.

Brian Byrd also reported that he thinks the picture was shown to him in order to intimidate him into an easy repossession.

While we often hear protests from privacy advocates about government intrusion into the lives of Americans, what many fail to understand is that it's not just the government. Private businesses like Aaron's, as well as large corporate conglomerates, are themselves engaging in the surveillance of Americans with the development of products and services specifically for this purpose – and often without the consent of their customers, or, through terms of services agreements that include dozens of pages of unintelligible fine print.

As modern technology continues to advance at breakneck speeds, just as the merger of the corporations and the state are occurring within political circles, so to are they becoming more prevalent in the intelligence sphere.

Fellow Americans, everything you do is being monitored.

With respect to the government, it's not by choice. However, when dealing with private businesses, we have readily accepted our own fate by accepting into our lives the very technologies that make it all possible.

What You Do Online Is No Secret: As you sit in the perceived privacy of your own home reading this article, a log of your surfing habits and preferred reading or video viewing subjects is being created. Your IP address, that unique identifier the points specifically to the broadband line connected to your home modem, is time stamped with every web site you visit. Everything you watch at video web sites, everything you download online, and even your search queries are logged. You don't even have to have an account with a major online service provider – your IP is sufficient – but that user account you create is used to further improve your personal profile and characteristics.

We can see you. We can hear you. Not only are your actions logged, but if you were deemed a person of interest for whatever reason, that little camera staring back at you on top of your monitor or that microphone built directly into your PC can be flipped on for remote surveillance at any time. While Aaron's furniture or the local school district may need to install special software to remotely view what you're doing in your bedroom, public sector intelligence groups operating on equipment that is technologically advanced compared to the consumer products of today is perfectly capable of entering your ‘secure' home network and turning on those video and audio features – and you'd have absolutely no clue it's going on.

Your cell phone is a mobile monitoring device. Much like your computer, all modern day cell phones come with cameras. And they all have a microphone. It is no secret that law enforcement agencies have the ability to easily tap these devices and listen and watch anything that's going on. This capability is essentially hard-wired right into the phone. In fact, it has been reported that even if your cell phone is turned completely off, the microphone can still be remotely activated. The only known solution is to remove the battery if you want to ensure complete privacy. Sounds pretty far-fetched doesn't it? Up until two weeks, so did the notion that Apple and Android phones could track and log everywhere you go. We now know that this is exactly what's happening, and literally, every movement you make is tracked within inches of your location. A log of everywhere you have been has been logged if your cell phone was in your pocket.
